Eugene (KMTR) - A search for a man on the run shut down several Eugene streets late Wednesday night and put neighbors on alert near Monroe Middle School.

That drew a huge police response.
Streets in a quarter-mile radius were closed down, including Coburg Road, Cal Young Road, Harlow Road and Oakway Road. Officers alerted neighbors to stay inside and report anything suspicious.
So far, Lemke has eluded capture. He is 5’6” tall and has brown hair and eyes, He was wearing a dark jacket and jeans. The gunfire the officer heard turned out to be unrelated.
