Man turns himself in after Springfield credit union robbery

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. (KMTR) -– A Creswell man is facing a robbery charge after robbing a Springfield bank then turning himself in to police.

Springfield Police arrested 37-year-old Cody Daniel Gordon after he robbed the Oregon Community Credit Union on Mohawk Boulevard and Marcola Road on Friday evening, September 21.

The robbery happened around 5:30 PM. Police say Gordon walked into the bank, told the teller he had a weapon and demanded cash.

Once detectives identified Gordon as the suspect, they tried to find him at several locations, without success.

On Saturday, September 22, Gordon turned himself in.

He is charged with one count of Robbery 2.
