Man arrested on sex abuse charges at Oregon Coast Aquarium

NEWPORT, Ore. (KMTR) -- An Albany man is in jail accused of sexually abusing young visitors at a popular Oregon Coast attraction.

24-year-old Benjamin Leonard Dean allegedly touched two girls inappropriately on Saturday, June 2nd, while they participated in a science project at the Oregon Coast Aquarium. 

Dean is not an employee at the aquarium, but is employed by an outside organization. He was at the facility to monitor students participating in the event.

There were no physical injuries to the girls.

Investigators say the incident was witnessed by at least two others who were interviewed by the officers.
