SPRINGFIELD, Ore. (KMTR) -- Thursday's Springfield City Club meeting focused on possible industrial development in Goshen. Lane County representatives say the area is currently under utilized, but with some changes, could bring new business and jobs.

Other local stakeholders say there are a lot more questions to be answered before any buildings start going up. Some are concerned about sewer access, transportation and possible wetlands in the area and say if those issues prove to be very expensive, the cost of investing in development could outweigh the benefits of the end result.

The county has already taken some steps toward planning for development, but everything is still in the preliminary stages.
