CORVALLIS, Ore. (KMTR) -- Working for heart health in
Benton and
Linn Counties, a local medical provider is offering free heart screenings next month
Samaritan Heart and Vascular Institute is offering free 30 minute lipid panel blood tests throughout February 2012.
Doctors will check total cholesterol, glucose and blood pressure. The appointments will take place in Lebanon, Albany and Corvallis between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. on three different days.
On February 4th, 2012, the screening will take place at Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital at 525 N. Santiam Highway in Lebanon.
On February 18th, 2012, the screening will take place at Samaritan Medical and Diagnostics Center at 400 N.W. Hickory St., Suited 300 in Albany.
Finally, on Saturday, February 25th, 2011, a screening will take place at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center at 3600 N.W. Samaritan Drive in Corvallis.
Pre-registration is required, but the program is free. Participants are also required to fast for 8 hours before the screening.
