JUNCTION CITY, Ore. (KMTR) -- The late summer weather has local harvests booming and farmers say their fall crop is coming in early. Folks at Lone Pine Farms say pumpkins and corn are looking great and they still have summer favorites like berries and peaches.
The sunny weather is also bringing more visitors to the farm and one of the most popular attractions is rising tall for fall. The famous corn maze at Lone Pine covers ten acres and the stalks are already about ten feet tall with a couple more weeks to grow before the maze opens to the public.
Some staff members at the farm tried to navigate the maze several weeks ago when they could still see over the corn stalks and said the course was too difficult. Some modifications were made to help visitors find their way through successfully.
