WEATHER RELATED OUTAGE EVENTOutage Update
Wet heavy snow has caused multiple power outage across Lane Electric's service area. At this time, crews have been dispatched to a number of areas and have begun identifying problems and making repairs.
This weather caused outage is likely to be an extended event as travel is slow and dangerous, and repairs will take longer than is typical with the heavy snow. Please make the appropriate arrangements.
As of this update:
Bonneville Power (BPA) has lost their transmission line that serves the Fern Ridge and Rainbow substations. Essentially, we have been unplugged from our power source. BPA is aware of the problem and has crews en route however we have no estimated time of restoral.
Some members in the Fox Hollow area are without power at this time. Crews have been dispatched to the area and are making repairs.
The Dexter Substation is out of service at this time. Crews are on site and making repairs at this time. As of this report, it is expected that power should be restored in 2 hours.
There are also scattered outages in the Oakridge, Lowell and Cottage Grove areas as well.
