Here's an idea for your future plans, quit treating the county's nurses like dirt and finally mediate with them instead of pulling a last-minute switcheroo on their union. Perhaps you wouldn't have persistently unfilled nurse positions if you actually tried to pay a competitive wage or offer competitive benefits with the private sector.
