Lane County Sheriff's Office projects more jail bed cuts, possible loss of all patrol service

A major announcement came Thursday from the Lane County Sheriff's Office and a team of local law enforcement agencies as new budget projections show even more cuts could be on the way for the county's jail and police services.

I agree with Tank Commander. But you'd better stock up soon, before our tyrannical elected government politicians have the chance to take our second ammendment freedoms away. Then what are we going to protect ourselves and families with? Sticks and stones? I personally don't want to be a victim, so I vote positively in support of our local law enforcement agencies and the NRA.

Quit arresting people, there is no consequences. Maybe if the city took one week of vacation from each employee that works for the state,we could afford the jail beds. They do get excessive paid vacations that range from 2-6 weeks a year, thats' unheard of in this day and age.

This is the price we pay for protecting spotted owls and failing to develop any businesses here in lame county. The only answer is to stock up on guns and ammo, because the sherrif ain't coming to anyones rescue!
