To many voters the choice may be between the city fee, (indirectly funding a new city hall) or public safety; many will not approve both. What will be interesting, however, is to see whether or not people are so disgusted with the City and their proposed fee, that they vote No on both of these measures.

If the county can cut up to 224 jobs and still operate even part time. What does that say. Could it be that way to many people already work for the county. Help your neighbor, volunteer, and we will all be fine.

How about this. Because of this emergency, declare marshal law. Then, let them loose. Warn them if they break ANY law, even spitting on the sidewalk, that they will be immediately executed. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. Quick simple execution. These are the types of people that just can’t keep from breaking the law. It would be only a few days, and they would be all gone. Problem solved. As for the budget, just tell ALL city, county and state employees that because of this emergency, that they will be responsible for their own health insurance and retirement plans from here on out. No bonuses, cost of living increases, no perks of ANY kind. This is the same news we in the private sector got years ago. We’ve been making do ever since. It’s high time they tightened their belts as tight as ours.

How about they let the pot heads and non violent drug dealers loose instead? Keep the people that actually are a harm to society locked up.

Go ahead cut away, it is the only way to stop a runaway train. I agree with Angelgabe, government alway threatens cutting in places they know people really think they are needed. This is called LIBERAL BULLYING. They are bullies, they know it and they love the power. Don't give in to them or we will see you in their food line. Did you notice they just voted for an Attorney General that already earns over $8000 per month on PERS. Do you know that PERS is killing programs in our area. Private sector people can only dream about what Government workers get in the way of benefits. Public Union must go, even FRanklin Roosevelt saw the peril in Public Unions.

Typical. Threaten us with this type of thing, instead of cutting good programs, but not ones that help keep us safe. THIS is EXACTLY why I vote all of them out every time, but some of you keep putting them back in! "Stupid is as stupid does”! Those of you who keep voting like you always do, are to blame almost as much as those in power. I know that ...”the devil you know...” is a safe bet but NOT in these times! We need to try something new. If it doesn’t work, vote them out and try again!!!!
