T had to say something since the bank robbery made it to ABC news: http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/headlines/2012/12/man-accused-of-robbing-bank-an-hour-after-his-release/ Not that all this posturing will do anything. It's time to stock up on ammo, we're headed for a "target rich" environment.

People need to start understanding the difference between deputies and police officers. Deputies wear green and tan and patrol outside the city. Police officers wear blue in the city and have motor officers, Lane County does not. Lane County Deputies have 2the shifts with 3-4 the people on patrol. That covers the coast to Willamette Pass and Coburg to Cottage Grove. Thats 3-4 DEPUTIES!!!!.

Why do we need jail beds? All you do is release the bad people anyway. Eugene and Lane County has more druggies, etc on the streets than most cities our size. What you people need to do is run the county like you have a budget. A vote will not pass!!!

Who is in charge that let this part of the system decay? I don't believe the voters opted for basically closing of the jail, one of the most important part of"our" system. Cut back on the cops giving tickets on the street, everybodys' locked up in jail cells so what's the big deal there? Why arrest if theres' not going to be any consequences? Maybe if everybody donated a dollar ............
