SPRINGFIELD, Ore. (KMTR) -- Lane Community College (LCC) expects over 4,000 people in the Eugene-Springfield area this weekend for the OSAA cross country championship meet. About 1,000 athletes from over 100 different schools will compete Saturday.
Organizers say it's a great fundraiser for LCC and a big recruiting opportunity. Student athletes look forward to this meet every fall and hope to make it to the Titan blue track.
All divisions will compete throughout the day Saturday, so expect some congestion around campus. On-line ticket sales have closed for the event but passes are still available to purchase at the gate.
