Yet ANOTHER shooting in Merlin and southern Oregon! The shooter here was a moron and should have his gun rights removed. Someone so stupid as to hunt in a residential area shouldn't have the right to continue making stupid decisions with loaded weapons. Thank goodness the boy's wound wasn't life-threatening!

Yeah, he was stupid, but at least he had the balls to call the police and tell them what probably happened!

Merlin is Unincorporated. So it is legal to shoot a gun on your own property. Still a very dumb thing to do, in such a densely populated area.

Great....just great something else for the anti-guns to latch on too. OK lets review 1. All guns are loaded at all times 2. Never point the muzzle at anything you not willing to destroy 3. Never put you finger on the trigger until you sights are on the target. 4. KNOW YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT!!!!! This does not help the responsible gun owners.

What an unbelievable act of carelessness and stupidity. The hunter thought he would hunt deer in his front yard? Was this guy drunk? I wonder if they did a blood alcohol level on him? If that were my 11 year old I would have already called a lawyer. Thank the good Lord above he didn't kill the boy.
