Eugene (KMTR) - Eleven family-owned and operated businesses just up the road from Hayward Field are coming together to cash in on the 2012 Olympic Trials.  The Hayward Historic District is made up of shops and restaurants in the 19th and Agate area.  Business owners say they were disappointed with the amount of foot traffic they saw at the 2008 trials, and hope by organizing the district they can attract more visitors.
All participating vendors will offer specials throughout the trials, and the celebration culminates June 29th with a free, family-friendly concert in the parking lot of Tom's Market at 5:30 p.m.
