Winston, Ore (KMTR) Padrone the hippo is settling in at Wildlife Safari. Staff say the 11 year old hippo is still getting used to his surroundings. He's from a smaller park and before coming to Wildlife Safari he hadn't seen many other animals.

The park has been looking for a companion for their other hippo, named "Blippo" for about three years. So far, the pair are hitting it off but are being held in separate areas for now.

By taking in Padrone, Wildlife Safari says they're helping make room in other parks capable of breeding that have a surplus of males.
