EUGENE, Ore. (KMTR) -- Glory Bee Foods is the latest local business to add solar power. The company recently had panels installed to their rooftop on North Seneca and will have a final inspection Friday. The company says they'll save about $2,000 each year on energy bills and even more if costs continue to rise.
Glory Bee took advantage of incentives from the Federal government and EWEB to help pay for the panels. A company called Advanced Energy Systems (AES) installed the system and says Glory Bee is the only company in EWEB's district to add solar power this year. AES principal Eric Nill tells NewsSource 16 that the utility didn't have as much funding available in 2012 to help companies go green.
