I do not know the accused or the victim. What I do know is that I will not place judgement on the accused, that is for a judge and jury of his peers. Ive known 2 people in the last year that have been accused of sex abuse, and the truth came out that the " victims" actually lied. In one of those cases, the family of the "victim" had been pulling scams on men and women, teachers, people of authority, and it happened that the DA in one case actually came forward with knowledge that the "accused" had been "set up", never did anything wrong and even though the "accused" was cleared of all charges, and sued the accusers family he ended up losing his business, had the hell beat out of him in jail, had death threats made against him, lost most of his possessions and will never be able to get back the most important thing, his "reputation". I personally know the "accused" in the case I just discussed and so I can say that things are not always as they seem.

So what if the girl is mentally disabled? Is he trying to imply that she is crazy and made the story up? To me, that would make it all the more wrong that he would take advantage of such a helpless child.

--A good friend of Chambers, who asked to be called “Bob,” is urging people to reserve judgment-- If this guy is so sure that Brandon Chambers Brandon's a good guy, why doesn't he give his full name?! Sheesh say your name out loud if you're defending someone!

it is a foul reality and happens every day!!! he will get a "get out of jail free" card, like they all do. he wouldn't have even been arrested if it hadn't been for his "position". had he been just a guy, he'd still be walking FREE, smirking at his past, present and future victims.

I just read a fantastic piece in the NY Times about exactly this phenomenon - seeing the perpetrator as just as much, if not more, of a "victim" than the victim. This happens because that person has done so many "good works" outside of his crime. Honestly, I don't give a rat's @$$ about Chambers' supposed good works. He preyed on a 12 year old girl on Facebook! Then, he met her and engaged in inappropriate sexual contact. I am not withholding my judgment on him. I believe her. I believe that there is plenty of evidence to have arrested him. He's not a "good guy". He's a pedophile.

I am sickened by the attitude that "Bob" has which is representative of many. Supporting a pedophile 'whether he did it or not' is disgusting! Posing as someone who is concerned about children is a classic tactic that these animals use to gain access to innocent kids. Just look at Sandusky! Having 'good intentions' doesn't count for anything when your actions prove otherwise!
