COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. (KMTR) -- A local warming center will open its doors to adults and families Sunday and Monday nights, as temperatures are expected to drop into the twenties.
Cottage Grove's Beds for Freezing Nights Coalition (BFN) is a volunteer-based group focused on giving people a warm place to spend the night when overnight lows hit 29F degrees or less. Unaccompanied minors who need a place to stay will be referred to the Looking Glass Host Home Program.
The BFN group will host the warming center December 30 and 31 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 1025 N 19th Street in Cottage Grove. The center will remain open from 7 PM to 7 AM; however if no guests check in by 10 PM, the shelter will close for the night.
