JOSEPH'S FORECAST
A slight shift in the winds made a big difference for the southern Oregon coast today. The upper level low off the northern California coast shifted westward enough to change the winds in that area to the west southwest and that was enough for the coastal fog to form and move up the coast. Brookings has been in the 80s all week because of the north to northeast winds and today was 58. We didn't see much change inland although the north wind did decrease some.
Tomorrow the northeasterly flow should increase and move south so the fog along the south coast should be a one day event and be gone by tomorrow night. The only change I see for the weekend will be overnight temperatures warming closer to 40.
Friday: Patchy fog early along the coast, then mostly sunny and 62 / 67. Patchy frost then sunny and 70 / 75 inland.
Saturday: Mostly sunny, 65 / 70 coast, 71 / 76 inland.
Sunday: Mostly sunny, 65 / 70 coast, 70 / 75 inland.
