We still have a lot of cold air trapped near the ground from about Albany to southern Douglas County. This is why temperatures dropped back below freezing soon after the sun went down this evening. Temperatures will drop into the mid- to high 20s before starting to warm toward morning. It all depends on how soon the southerly winds pick up.
A weak low will move in early tomorrow and a south wind should develop as the front moves in. I don't expect much rain with this low except west of the Coast Range. Hopefully it will be strong enough to scour this cold air out of the inland valleys. The weather moderates Friday with some afternoon sunshine.
Thursday: Mostly cloudy with a few showers, 46 / 51 coast, 38 / 43 inland.
Friday: Patchy morning valley fog otherwise mostly fair, 48 / 53 coast, 42 / 47 inland.
Saturday: Mostly cloudy, 47 / 52.
