What a surprise! This is why you should never vote for an incumbant. The only majority of folks who want Emx in west Eugene are LTD board members. To have the stupidity to believe people will walk a mile or two down the amazon bike path to catch a bus that you'd ride a mile or two on 11th to go to work is nuts. Bicycle you say? Emx doesn't exactly have a load of bike racks and never will. All paid with state and federal money--like monopoly money, ain't it? I used to take the bus downtown on Saturday and go to Saturday Market. That is until the bus stopped coming through the neighborhood on weekends--another great move, LTD. Drive along the 6th, 7th, and 11th avenues and note all the signage of businesses against this--and the basic idea is to help shoppers get into stores? What will happen will be the Emx will be the only pebble on the beach--all the other routes, ie 30, 36, 40, etc, will all get chopped back--because, Hey! It's federal and state money--let's waste it and not improve existing service--we have Emx!!! What a Croc! Former Saturday Marketer and downtown walker dude.

What's the deal with this? I haven't heard one person who is in favor of it, nor one good reason why we need it. I do hear about every area of government being out of money. So who wants to speak up and say what's good about it?

Yea, this is a real shocker being these are the same people who are trying to ram this down our throats anyway. Money, no problem. We will just add it to the largest deficit in US history.

Isn't it strange how fast some things get through the EPA, and others can take years! Corruption at it's best. Progressive politics at it's best, socialism on the move. Let us herd all the people in the direction we liberals and progressive desire to go. I sometimes wonder how they can even look in a mirror. Sure let the opponents buy ad space on the bus, more money for LTD, it is not going to change things anyway. They will just steam roll and bully their way to where ever it is they are going, and even they don't know that.
