EUGENE, Ore. (KMTR) –- Eugene police made a disgusting discovery Tuesday morning during a drug bust at a home on West 18th Avenue. Officers said they found rodent feces and a dog living at a residence where Jerusalem House Hummus is made.

Inside the home, police said they found stolen property and items related to the sale and use of methamphetamine.
50-year-old Roy Ouesis, a relative of the owner, was arrested on several drug and theft charges.

The Oregon Department of Agriculture said the company owner is voluntarily recalling the product. There isn't a health concern, like salmonella, but health investigators said they aren't confident the product was made in a clean and safe environment.

Eight Market of Choice stores, including locations in Eugene, Corvallis, Portland and Ashland - as well as Friendly Street Market, Sundance, Capella and First Alternative in Corvallis sold the hummus; anyone who purchased the product should throw it away or return it to the store where it was purchased.

I do not shop at market of choice stores because of the unprofessional attitudes of the workers. And thier prices on food is about 30% higher than other food stores and market of choice sells mostly small quanity packaged goods. Over 50% of market of choice employees have only been employed by market of choice under 6 months. 30% of the other market of choice workers have only been employed for under 1 year. The other 20% of market of choice workers are in mid to upper management to keep workers overturned to save market of choice executives money on employee benefits and pay raises.

What a HUGE disappointment! I do my best to buy local, and now I'll have to wonder. Sick of these meth losers.
