Riddle (KMTR) - Douglas county investigators say the father of Stephanie Condon has died of a gunshot wound.
On Wednesday, February 15th, at about 11:15pm, the 911 center received a call from Christine Condon who stated her husband, 53-year-old Martin Condon, had shot himself and needed help.
Deputies and emergency responders attempted life saving measures including CPR but Martin Condon was pronounced dead at the scene.
Stephanie Condon's remains were found three years ago near Glide after she disappeared in 1998 while babysitting. She was 14 when she went missing.
The man charged in her death was acquitted.
One neighbor, Ray Bishop, who has known Marty Condon for years says the family never got closure. "He was stressed out over his daughter I really can't say, he never discussed the situation never took it outside his family, Marty just kinda kept to himself."
At this time, the death investigation is ongoing. Additional information will be released when available.
