Eugene to hold public hearing for rowdy party crackdown ordinance

A new Eugene city ordinance aimed at cracking down on rowdy parties could go up for a city council vote soon as councilors are moving forward with the 'social host' ordinance.

I don't mind the partying. I have called the police with noise complaints but only after a party has no signs of slowing down after midnight. I don't want to move from around this area, rent is cheap. I live in a great place but I don't want to hear bad, loud music at 3am. That's too late for a party and I think there should be some consequences for those people who have multiple noise complaints lodged against them. Also, I'm not a crotchety old man, I'm 22, I'm young and I like the idea of this.

sounds like the people who moved up here from down south and moved in next door to a pig farm and then tried to get it shut down. people been partying on and around college campus for years ,if you don't like it move out
