Yeah, Eugene is great! No jobs. Homeless everywhere. I hated mayor. A hated transit district. A City council filled with dreamers trying to create a "Envision" that will never materialize. None of which is sustainable!

justmy2, you don't think they are going to extend an invitation to some conservative mayor who has his city in the plus column. That is just not the Progressive liberal way. That would not be fair, don't you understand?

Sure, you might have to shut the jail down and have violent criminals roaming the streets, but look at the innovations you can use that extra money for.

Sounds like a circle jerk to me. I bet most of these mayors are liberal, left leaning types who's citys are broke. And the next tie I hear the city of Eugene cry that they dont have enough money, may I sugest cutting that essential city position of "Sustainability Liaison".
