CORVALLIS, Ore. (KMTR) -- Eugene Police took over some vacant pavement at the Corvallis Airport Wednesday, to practice emergency vehicle skills. Officers worked on four different maneuvers, from chases to operating in tight spaces.

Police say they’re called out to drive in emergency mode several times a month, and it’s one of the most dangerous things they do. Getting practice on a closed course keeps their skills sharp without putting any civilian cars in danger.
