EUGENE, Ore. (KMTR) – A Eugene-based photo greeting card company builds on internet sales success while looking to further local growth.

The company is called Bloom Paper Goods. Co-founders, friends and graphic designers Brianna Bulski and Chyanne Ganzel started Bloom in 2011 as a way to sell their uniquely-designed photo cards.

Photo cards have seen tremendous growth over the last few years with the proliferation of digital cameras and high-speed internet connectivity. However, as Bulski and Ganzel found, many of the sites are clunky and the products offered are typically generic.

Hoping to change that, Bulski and Ganzel created several hundred original designs for photo cards. All of the designs are produced in their Eugene workspace.

"We are completely hands-on, which is different. We have a role in every part of the process,” says Chyanna Ganzel, co-founder of Bloom Paper Goods.

With customization foremost on their minds, the two launched Bloom’s website in September. The site allows customers to choose and customize templates with personal messages. Since launch, the company has picked up customers across the U.S. Now it’s planning to grow in Eugene.

"We want to grow, we want to be a positive part of  . . . the community here. We plan on hiring people. We are looking for an office space right now so  - start really small and grow slowly,” says Brianna Bulski, co-founder of Bloom Paper Goods.

One of the most unique things Bloom offers is cards with the names of states written into them. The website is also pretty unique, as it’s one of the only ones to offer a direct download, where users can download a high quality image file of their completed photo card.
