I finally got to watch the beginning. What a mockery, and yet, the council still wants to give them a chance. If they rule to give them an extension, they might as well build them a building with free room and board, X-Boxes, and large TV's. And they also need to take the whistle from Kitty and she can jam it.

No...no more delays on this. Think it through...then follow through. The deadline is set, stay with it. It's become medically necessary to vacate that park, before it becomes a biohazard...if it hasen't already. Put it together, wintertime, poor or no sanitation, contagious colds and flus, dogs and dog doody, older males wisssing on a tree thinking that maybe nobody is seeing him relieving himself in broad daylight like I did a couple of weeks ago. Health hazard alone is enough to require this particular encampment to be taken down. C-mon City Council....this Wednesday evening...make it happen. Bust-a-Move !

Good God city council make a decision for once in your pathetic lives!!! Either way, JUST DO SOMETHING!!!! Quit being so damn afraid to 'step on toes'!

Plus if they get to pitch tents in Public parks so should everybody else. Imagine camping on Spencer's butte ( and cracking a beer) or any of the other local parks Eugene has to offer- what's fair is fair.

This is infuriating!!! I can't believe they postponed the vote!?!?!?! I thought they served our city, someone needs to do something about this. The camp has become dangerous to the community, the people living there and a health issue as well. City council please wake up and do something!!!!!!

What started out as a protest of Wallstreet is now just a place where drugged out homeless people live. If any one of these people didn't truly WANT to be homeless they could get help from The Mission- St. Vinney's churches....But it would mean they would have to quit doing drugs and get a job. Do we enable their self destructive behaviors by allowing the camp to remain open or do we shut it down? I have personally known addicts and I can tell you they will not change their ways until they truly HIT ROCK BOTTOM. I believe in tough love- enabling them really isn't the answer.

A logical solution would be to use Civic Stadium, secure, built to handle the basic needs of thousands, unfortunately, logic comes in last when it comes to NIMBY issues. Kicking can game is too much fun for our "leaders"
