I sincerely wish the naysayers would just give this a rest. I have lived in huge cities (NYC) and town's the size of Eugene (Olympia, WA) and never have I seen a body of people so adamantly opposed to providing mass transit options for its community. It is preposterous to even begin to imagine that a small transit district, such as LTD, has any other agenda on their collective minds than helping our citizens get around.

It's just a matter of time until someone files a lawsuit against LTD. I hope this bus line gets derailed because it's a waste of tax money and will cause significant damage to local businesses on the bus line. LTD has their best interests in mind, not those of the city or its residents.

Terrible article. Headline says some businesses aren't happy but article doesn't elaborate on that point. Poorly executed, KMTR.
