EUGENE, Ore. (KMTR) -- Another
Oregon Ducks football player is facing legal troubles after an early Saturday morning arrest.
A junior wide receiver for the Ducks, Josh Huff was cited for DUII, speeding and driving without a license early Saturday morning, March 3rd, 2012.
Eugene Police initially stopped Huff for speeding at 1:22 a.m. on 18th and Friendly Street in the campus-area of Eugene. After stopping Huff, the officer suspected Huff had been drinking alcohol.
Huff was arrested and taken to the Lane County Jail where he was cited and released, but was not lodged. Eugene Police says Huff was cooperative.
Huff played in 12 games during the 2011 season, bringing in 31 catches for a total of 430 yards.
The University of Oregon Athletic Department says head coach Chip Kelly, Athletic Director Rob Mullens and the University of Oregon Administration are all aware of the incident.
According to an athletic department spokesman, “there will be no further information until more details become available.” As of Saturday night, no disciplinary action has been announced.
