EUGENE, Ore. (KMTR) -- Greenhill Humane Society is thanking everyone who showed up for their Dog Days of Summer event Wednesday.

The Eugene Emeralds at PK Park hosted the non-profit organization for Pet Night where owners can take their furry friends to the game, too. Pooch Passes were $2 each.

The group said hundreds of dog owners and their canine companions showed up to watch the baseball game, raising hundreds of dollars for the animal shelter. In 2011, Greenhill raised almost $500.

Near third base, Greenhill set up a doggie area with fire hydrants and toys. They also raffled off prizes.

Greenhill Humane Society recently took over Lane County Animal Services, newly recognized as First Avenue Shelter.
