Eastern Oregon over the weekend.
Through snow and ice, the team’s bus was driving back from the 3A division playoffs in Nyssa, Oregon on Saturday night, November 12th, 2011 when it was bumped by a semi truck.
Around 9 p.m. on Interstate 84, the team bus was east of Pendleton, traveling west, when it semi-truck crash appeared up the road.
While traffic was moving at a slow speed, the semi truck attempted to pass the bus, clipping and damaging the side of the bus.
No one was hurt in the incident.
Creswell High’s principal says the bus is still 100% operational, but has some cosmetic damage. The school is now in the process of filing an insurance claim with the semi-truck driver to have the bus repaired.
