Cottage Grove (KMTR) – It’s safe to drink the water again in Cottage Grove.
Around 900 homes and businesses in the northeast part of town were advised Tuesday that their tap water might be tainted and water for drinking should be boiled.
Monday night, the Row River Water District lost power, preventing proper chlorination. The water was filtered, but without the chlorine it could not be considered safe to drink until tests of the water’s purity were done.
The results became available Thursday morning, and the tests show the water is safe.
