CORVALLIS, Ore. (KMTR) -- Dr. Black and his team at Timberhill Dental will host their eleventh annual candy buy back event this year. The day after Halloween the practice shuts down early for the Dollars-Not-Decay program.

Dr. Black will give children $2 for every pound of candy brought in plus a free toothbrush. Last year local trick-or-treaters sold about 950 pounds of candy to the dental clinic. This year, they're going for 1,000 pounds.

For all the money the kids earn, Dr. Black will make a matching donation to the Corvallis Homeless Shelter. The event is November 1 from 3 to 7 PM at 2356 NW Professional Drive in Corvallis.
