Coquille (KMTR) – Coos County authorities are investigating another homicide case, the third violent death this month.
Police have arrested Nathan Todd Wallace, 41, of Coquille on suspicion of stabbing his brother to death.
The brother, Lee Edwin Wallace, who was 38, was apparently staying with Nathan Wallace. A 911 call reporting a stabbing was made at 2:36 Sunday morning. Lee Wallace was found with a single stab wound to his abdomen in a lean-to structure adjacent to a trailer where Wallace lived.
Lee Wallace was rushed to a local hospital for emergency surgery but he died later in the morning. An autopsy will be scheduled.
Nathan Wallace is being held on charges of murder and possession of Methamphetamine.
Last week, Travis Kendall of Coos Bay apparently shot himself after police say he shot his wife, severely wounding her, in Coos Bay. Ashley Kendall is still in very critical condition in a Portland hospital.
On November 12th Patrick Horath, 45, of Coos Bay was arrested and charged with murder, aggravated murder and sex abuse. Police say Horath strangled his sister-in-law Jayme Austin and buried her body about 17 miles from her home.
