It's amazing how my step-son (around same age group, but over 18) was arrested immediately for having a consensual relationship with a 14-y/o girl. He spent 45 days in Lane County jail, then was sentenced to a mandatory minimum sentence of 75 months, minus time spent at county. They treated my step-son (who was a working contributor to society and also made a mistake) like a criminal, and I heard the Judge totally rip him apart. It's amazing how Jacob Frasier is treated with passion for the same charges that my step-son got. My step-son has to register as a sex offender and his life has been ruined. Thanks Measure 11 for your equality in treatment for 15-year-olds and older. Measure 11 needs a serious look in to it, and Governor Kitzhaber refuses to look in to it. I have the proof of that. Remember folks, you must be related to a D.A. (or in that field) to be excluded from any Measure 11 mandator sentencings.
