Coos Bay (KMTR) - The Mill Casino has been running a soft open of its new iGaming Lounge for the past couple weeks.   There are only a few casinos nationwide with iPad-based gambling, so folks at the Mill are taking things one step at a time.  Casino rep Ray Doering said, "We've just opened kind of slowly to see how things go because, you know we're kind of inventing this as we go along."

So far, they say customers love the iGaming experience.  You do need to be a member of the casino's Millionaire's Club to check out an iPad, but signing up is free.  From there, iGaming is pretty simple.  When you walk into the iGaming Lounge, an attendant will hand you an iPad.  Then, all you have to do is log in with your Millionaire's Club card number and pin, and you're ready to play.

The lounge itself is tailor-made for iGaming.  The chairs are a custom design, and the iPad stands swivel any which way.  Lounge attendants say so far, customers have enjoyed a calmer gaming experience.  It's quieter, with less flashing lights, and when you finish playing a game, you don't even have to get up to move on to the next one.  You can play five games on the iPads right now, and four more will be ready soon.  The iPad gambling experience is new for everyone, but attendants say it's a quick learning curve.  Doering said, "a little ways into the game folks are going, you know, this is a lot of fun!  And they stay for a while, and really have enjoyed it.  So we've had really good reports so far."

The lounge is now open every day, and is available for group events.
