Glide, Or (KMTR) A detour this morning for a bus driver who spotted a car in Glide fly fifty feet off the road and into a ravine. Brandy Sandoval says she was substitute bus driving, when she saw a car fly across the roadway, off an embankment, into a tree, into another tree, then down a fifty foot ravine.

She immediately pulled over, flagged down another car to direct traffic, and climbed down the ravine to see if she could help.

When she got there she was shocked, considering the violence of the crash, to find out all three people in the car were conscious and coherent.

With the help from another passerby, she pulled the teenage passengers to safety, while waiting for crews to arrive.

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office says the three teens were taken to mercy medical. The driver, Karina McKenzie was treated for minor injuries. Her sister, Lashanda suffered broken ribs, and a broken back. Jessica McCord has a broken arm. They were wearing their seatbelts and alcohol was not a factor.

while not completly life threatening a broken back is nothing to write home about, spoken from experience with back issues. glad everyone is ok and nothing worse happened.
