EUGENE, Ore. (KMTR) – A first of its kind tour through Lane County on Sunday, showcasing local businesses to brides and grooms to be.
The "Inspire Bridal Tour” launched Sunday, September 23rd, 2012 from "Parties To Go" in Eugene.
The group organized a tour of local wedding venues, catering companies and more for the event. About 30 different brides and grooms took part.
Organizers want to clear up the misconception that you have go to Portland to plan a big wedding. They say there's plenty to choose from in the Eugene-Springfield area.
“I was actually kind of concerned about having enough time to go out and look at other things because I didn't know I'd be able to do it all here, but apparently I can!" says Hannah Hamovitz, who is getting married in December.
"I think that we have a lot of talent here but I also think its pretty neat the way that we've done this because its not just a home show for brides.. Its really special" says Rani Gee, who is getting married in 2013.
This is the first time "Inspire" has done the limousine bridal tour, but they are hoping to bring it back again.
