SPRINGFIELD, Ore. (KMTR) -- The Brattain House will open its annual free Clothing Exchange program Tuesday. Families who can't afford new clothes for the school year can come pick out a few outfits for each student. The Exchange is open to children in Springfield and East Lane County Schools.

Volunteers organize donated items in a room designed to look like a boutique to give kids a fun shopping experience. There are no requirements on who can shop.  Organizers encourage local parents to think about donating clothing kids don't need anymore, to eliminate waste and help other children.

The Exchange runs August 21st from 9:30 AM to noon, August 24th from 10:00 AM to noon, August 27th from noon to 3:00 PM and August 29th from 3:30 to 6:30 PM.
