EUGENE, Ore. (KMTR) -- Police are investigating the discovery of the body of a man near the bank of the Willamette River Sunday night.

A security office at Valley River Center reported to police that a homeless person told them he had found the body of a white man, around fifty years old, about 6:30 PM Sunday.

So far the body has not been identified. The Lane County Medical Examiner will try to determine whether foul play was involved in the man’s death.
