EUGENE, Ore. (KMTR) -- Eugene police have arrested a man they say robbed a Eugene bank on Monday, November 12.

33-year-old Jeremie Wesley Skordahl of Eugene was lodged at the Lane County Jail on the charge of Robbery in the Second Degree.

Police say he walked in to the U.S. Bank branch inside the Albertson's store on Coburg Road just before noon.

They say he presented a demand note and left the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

Just after 4 PM, a Harlow Road-area resident called police to report a suspicious subject in their neighborhood who was seen running through backyards.

Police responded and contacted Skordahl, who was covered with mud. Officers realized Skordahl matched the physical description of the suspect who robbed the bank and placed Skordahl under arrest.
