EUGENE, Ore. (U of O) – NBC reporter Ann Curry returns to her alma mater, The University of Oregon, to present the 2013 Ruhl Lecture on ethics on Thursday, February 28.
The free public lecture will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the Ford Alumni Center’s Giustina Ballroom, 1720 E 13th Avenue, on campus. Doors open at 6 PM.
Curry, a graduate of the School of Journalism and Communication, will speak about 'Journalism: An Act of Faith in the Future'.
Tickets to the Ruhl Lecture are free but pre-registration is required online at
journalism.uoregon.edu/ruhl-lecture. Tickets are required at the door. Early registration is recommended due to a limited number of seats.
Those who are unable to acquire a ticket may watch Curry’s presentation via live streaming in the Jaqua Center Auditorium or the Dixon Signature Classroom, room 141, in Allen Hall on the UO campus. The event will also stream live on the School of Journalism and Communication
website.
Following her lecture, Curry will take questions from the audience. Viewers from streaming sites may ask questions via the Twitter hashtag #Ruhl2013.
