EUGENE, Ore. (KMTR) –- Eugene police have arrested a man accused of attacking a woman Wednesday morning near Oakway Center.

Officers say they found Michael Eastman, 27, hiding in blackberry bushes late Wednesday night behind the Albertson’s on Coburg Road. Police said he was camping near an 18-year-old woman, when he beat and raped her. She’s still in the hospital.

Last year, the Lane County Sheriff's Office arrested Eastman for a parole violation. They say he’s an untreated sex offender with several mental health issues.

Sorry, I left out the word NOT when speaking of receiving any help or counseling but still stand by belief that he was released.

He should be treated with a bullet to the forehead.

Wait, time out, "Untreated" means that he has been given help or counseling? That does not make any sense? Help is a form of treatment, counseling is a form of treatment. I am sorry but I don't understand Postalone.

Untreated means that he has been given help or counseling. I would ventue to guess that he is one of our releases from jail.

What the hell is an "untreated sex offender"??? Thats one of the stupidest terms I have ever herd of. Stick this piece of human excrement in prision for the rest of his life and you can "treat" him all you want. JUST NEVER LET HIM OUT!
