Tillamook County Major Crime Team detectives are continuing the investigation following the arrest of two suspects related to a Saturday night disturbance at the Alderbrook Golf Course Restaurant and Bar north of Tillamook that resulted in the stabbing of 3 adults.  The victims received non-life threatening wounds and are being treated at hospitals in Tillamook and Portland. Their names are withheld at this time and may be released Monday after additional follow-up investigation and interviews.

On October 15, 2011 at approximately 11:45 p.m. Tillamook County 911 received a report of a stabbing at the Alderbrook Golf Course Restaurant and Bar about five miles north of Tillamook.  Two adult males and an adult female were stabbed and two suspects fled into the darkness toward the golf course.  A Tillamook County deputy and Oregon State Police trooper arrived on scene and after searching the golf course they located and arrested two suspects about an hour after the incident was reported.

One of the male victims drove himself to the Tillamook County General Hospital for treatment of stab wounds to the torso and arm.  The other two victims were initially transported by Tillamook Ambulance to the same hospital and at least one was reportedly taken to a Portland hospital for further treatment.  The victims' ages range from late 20's to early 30's.

The two suspects arrested are identified as Juan Emigdio Valencia-Ayala, age 21, from Tillamook, and Jacob Zavala Krumenaker, age 20, from Garibaldi.  Both were lodged in the Tillamook County Correctional Facility on 3 counts of Assault in the First Degree and other charges.

Detectives from TCSO and OSP are continuing the investigation. Tillamook Police Department assisted at the scene.  Investigators processed the scene and interviewed witnesses during the night.  Tillamook County Search & Rescue personnel assisted with searching the golf course Sunday morning for any evidence related to the investigation.

I think if you stab someone with a knife the charge should be attempted murder. Just because these attacked got lucky and had non life threatening wounds should not mean the charges should be less.
