I do not know this family, but I do know what it is like to lose a child suddenly. My heart goes out to this family as they deal with the greatest pain ever. NO ONE is to blame for this accident, this was just an accident. We need to remember there is a family that is suffering and grieving, and that there is a 17 year old girl that will have survivors guilt and a lot to overcome now. What is needed now is a lot of love and support, blame is a poison that will harm the survivor, and alienate that family.

We are blaming Schools and School Board for this tragic loss....My gawd people why dont we at least wait for the findings of fact before we place blame anywhere. Might have been icy, might have been mechanical failure. My thoughts are with the family and friends of these two individuals..very tragic. But I am sure not anyone on a schoold board had anything to do with this accident....just a guess did you vote for Obama.

Not to mention that unless the driver was a sibling of the passenger, she shouldn't, by law, have had her in the car. Tragic lesson of loss.

This is the result of the school system not having enough funding because the unions dictate how much the school board distributes to the pupils and the feather bedded school board. The teachers are under paid and the board members are laughing all the way to bank. They used to have drivers education available to those who wanted it and now they don't have enough money to have those classes. The students are now driving before they are ready and paying a serious price.
