Woman cited by police after semi smooshes her scooter
Police cited the scooter rider

EUGENE, Ore. - Police cited a woman on a motorized scooter after she veered into the path of a semi truck on Seneca Road on Tuesday.

Officers cited Sharon Kay Batson, 44, on charges of failure to use bike lane and failure to wear a helmet on a motor-assisted scooter.

Police said Batson was not visible injured. The driver of the truck was not cited.

The investigation closed southbound lanes of Seneca Road at First Avenue.
