Even if it's all in good fun, Friday the 13th seems to bring out that superstitious side in everyone.

Do you have any superstitions?

"Walking under a ladder, black cats crossing your path," said Betty Leadon, who said she is very superstitious.

Some seem like good ideas even for skeptics.

"It's never a good idea to walk under a ladder, regardless!" said Lauren Kessler, who said she isn't very superstitious.

Others just don't hold up to reality.

"Black cats," said Margaret Malsch. "But my son has one so we know that's not a problem."

but things like beginner's luck, knocking over salt and fear of the number 13?

"I think maybe there's a little something to Friday the 13th," Susan Heisey said.
