EUGENE, Ore. - Eugene Civic Stadium might be for sale.

Again.

The Eugene 4J School Board rejected all three offers for the property two years ago.

The district owns the 75-year-old wooden ballpark and the property on which it sits.

Now Eugene 4J plans to put out a request for proposals for the property.

One of the proposals is expected to come from the Eugene YMCA, which wants to build a new $15 million complex there.

"Well, we're not going to get into a bidding war with Fred Meyer," said Dave Perez, the Y executive director. "But I think there will be some good offers that come up to the table, and I think the school district will have the opportunity to make a good decision."

The Y, Fred Meyer and a group promoting professional soccer were past suitors for Civic.
