Toxicology pending in deaths of 2 men who collapsed after disputes

EUGENE, Ore. - Toxicology results are still pending in a pair of deaths involving men who got in fights only to later collapse and die.

James Earl Jacobsen, 33, died the night of Friday, July 5, in west Eugene. He collapsed on the sidewalk after leaving a dispute at another location, police said.

Police said they interviewed witnesses and are awaiting toxicology results.

That is also the case in the death of 41-year-old William James McKnight on June 21. McKnight collapsed and died after a dispute with another man.
